So, I was not able to keep up wit one of my resolutions...however it was because we had to purchase a new computer, and it has taken me a little while to get everything moved over. Now, I can take photos, and hopefully post more often.
My up-line the very talented Heather Summers posted a colour challenge on our down-line site. It was Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum. What a super fun combo.
For my card, I started with the Pear as my base. It is layered with Baja Breeze, Plum and some Pear DSP from the level 1 hostess set. The horizontal panel uses the same colour theme and is embellished with some Pear ribbon. I stamped the candles from Party this Way using the same three ink colours. I popped up the stamped image using dimensionals.

Today I decided to try the Mojo Monday sketch. I really liked the sketch this week.
The base of the card is Very Vanilla. It is layered with Love Letter DSP, Basic Black and Riding Hood Red. I stamped my image from Morning Cup using Stazon on ink and coloured the image using my fun new watercolour crayons. The card is embellished using Very Vanilla brads and retired Riding Hood Red ribbon.

This card is dedicate to my wonderful up-line Heather Summers. Each year for her birthday, Heather gives her Mom a colour challenge to follow for her birthday card. This year the colours were Peach Parfait, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze. When Heather told me the colour combination, I thought it was terrible. They are not my usual colours. In fact, I have never used Peach Parfait and Cajun Craze. But, here I am today eating my words. I like this combination of colour together.
The base of the card is Peach Parfait. It is layered with Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and DSP from the level 1 hostess pack. The horizontal layer uses the same colour card stock, but the DSP is from Jolly Holiday. I ordered the set Morning Cup before Colton arrived, but this was the first time I used it. I stamped the image using Stazon and colour it using my new Watercolour Crayons (thanks SU!).

Clint and I are very lucky to have so many people in our lives that were so excited about meeting Colton. We were blessed with so many lovely gifts to help us be ready for Coltons arrival. I had many thank-you cards to send out after my baby shower. Even now that Colton is 6 weeks old, I am still sending out thank-you cards.
I made two different card, but I kept both clean and simple, because I knew I would be making lots of the cards. Both cards have a Kraft base and they are layered with Soft Suede and Elegant Soiree DSP. By the name, you would not think that this DSP could be used for a baby boy, but the colours work perfectly.
I stamped the hands and feet, from a retired Baby Set (I am not sure of the name as I borrow the set) using Baja Breeze ink and the thank-you in Not Quite Navy. I used retired ribbon to embellish both cards.

Well, Colton is a very popular little man. He has already started receiving Christmas gifts. So, I thought I would get a bunch of thank-you cards complete. I am going to send them out as I receive the gifts.
For this card, I was inspired by today's technique challenge on SCS. The technique was to use sponging on your card. I love the effect that sponging gives a card, but I do not use it often.
The base of the card is Kraft. It is layered with Night of Navy and Marina Mist. I stamped the snowflakes (from Serene Snowflakes) in Kraft, Night of Navy and Marina Mist. I sponged using the same three colours. The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy. I embellished my card with some Marina Mist ribbon, a Kraft cord brad and three little rhinestones.

I thought I would quickly share a photo of Colton. This is a picture of him when he was 6 days old. I cannot believe on Monday he will be six weeks old. Where does the time go? My brother-in-law Scott was kind enough to come over to our house and take some photos of Colton. All of the photos I have seen are AWESOME!!! Thanks Scott.

Well, I am back...hopefully. It has been a VERY busy two months. November was particularly crazy. It started with the early arrival of my first child on November 1st. Clint and I welcomed a baby boy named Colton Lee. When I arrived home, the box of goodies that I was hoping to have before Colton was born was on my porch. SU! sent me a box of goodies to use to design for the Leadership display boards. So, I spent most of my spare time in November working on the 20 projects I had to complete. So, needless to say I have been busy.
This was an ordanment I made for my AWESOME upline Heather. We had a fun little surprise Birthday dinner for her in October, and this is what I made for her. Heather really loves handmade gifts, so we all made something for her. I used the pattern found here to create the ornament. After folding over 50 of these flowers for my Artisan cake, I said I would never fold one again, but I am a sucker for punishment. I have two more ready to start on my desk. This was created using Love Letter DSP and Vintage brads. Thanks to Heather for taking a great photo of the ornament, as I did not get one taken!
I am really hoping once I complete my last two ornaments, I will be able to return to my normal posting again. Have a great day!
