Sunday was my sister-in-law's bridal shower! She is getting married in October and I am so excited for her and her fiancee Mike! I was soooo happy to be able to host her bridal shower! I have lots of goodies to share, so beware this will be a long post. This is a pink and brown post (sorry Christine...I will have some non pink stuff tomorrow!) as Liz chose to use Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip for her colours.
I will start with the card I made for her. It is not very often I mix stamp sets, but I wanted to try it for this card. I used the bride on her shower invited and we used Fifth Ave. Floral for her wedding invited.
The base of the card is Pink Pirouette. I stamped the outlined images from Fifth Ave Floral in Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. I layered this on Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip. I added some detail to the Chocolate Chip card stock by using my eyelet border punch. I tied a Chocolate Chip bow to finish this layer.
Next I stamped the bride in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White. I mounted her on Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose. She is popped up onto the Chocolate CHip with dimensionals. Too add more depth, I used more dimensionals and mounted this layer on my card. I was very happy with how this card turned out!
Before I filled the boxes, I stamped them using the Fifth Ave Floral set. I used Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and CHocolate Chip. To help close the boxes I used some Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip ribbon. The base of the card Pink Pirouette. It is layered with Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette. The cake, from my For the Bride set is stamped using Chocolate Chip. I stamped the word thank-you using Chocolate Chip ink as well. Some 1/4" Chocolate Chip ribbon completes the card. Well, that is all I have to share from the shower! Have a great day! Here are the guest favors I made for the shower. Liz loves bubble gum so I used the pillow box die and filled them with bubble gum. One of our shower games was a bubble gum blowing contest. It was SOOOO funny seeing all the ladies dressed up and blowing bubble!
Part of my gift to Liz was her Thank-you cards. I wanted to make a cute box to put them in (big surprise!). The base of my box is Chocolate Chip and I do not remember what the dimensions are of the box. I did use 12x12 textured card stock. I layered the box with Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stocks. I stamped the Whisper White using my Circle Circus set. I should have used Fifth Ave Floral, but I made this box just after my new set arrived and I really wanted to play. The circles are stamped using Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose.
This is the thank-you card I made. I wanted to keep it simple, because people throw these out. Sad but true. My brother-in-law's girlfriend Jessica helped me with the invites and the thank-you cards. She was a BIG help! Thanks Jessica!

Wow You did an amazing job Jodie- I love all the projects!!!
