Mojo Monday Card

  Before I go into the details of my card, I just have to say, I missed my window for natural light photo's by about 30 minutes.  I will try to get a better picture when I get home tomorrow, and I will update the photo.  This photo does not do the card justice!

I decided to play with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.  You can see the sketch, and visit their blog by clicking here.  I really liked the sketch this week, and I knew it would be perfect with my new Easter set (An Egg-cellent Easter).

The base of my card is Cameo Coral.  It is later with Baja Breeze and Walk in the Park DSP.  The additional layers are Cameo Coral and Walk in the Park DSP.  This new DSP pack will be available to purchase on Wednesday!

I stamped my image using Basic Gray ink.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the eggs.  I am sooo happy I purchased the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I have used it a lot recently, and I now wonder why I waited so long to purchase one!  I coloured my eggs using my Baja Breeze ink pad (with my blender pen) and my So Saffron and Cameo Coral markers.  I mounted this on Baja Breeze and Cameo Coral card stock.  I added my greeting, which is stamped using my Cameo Coral ink.  I punched the greeting out with my small oval, and mounted it on my large oval and scallop oval (also available on Wednesday))!  Hope you like this card, have a great day!

Big Shot Box

  This is a super cute and easy box I made with my club girls last month.  I wanted to show them one of the great Big Shot Box dies, the NEW Scallop Oval punch and the co-ordinating stamp set called Oval All.

The box is cut out of Sahara Sand card stock using the Box #2 Big Shot die.  I cut a small strip of Delicate Dots DSP to wrap around the box.  I added some of the So Saffron ribbon (from the SAB ribbon bundle).  Now when I first made the box, I did not have my Scallop Oval punch, it arrived the day my club meets.  I really wanted to show them and use it, but I realized after the 5/8" ribbon is to wide.  It would work better with 1/4" ribbon.  Still looks cute! 

We stamped the image on Whisper White and Certainly using Certainly Celery ink.  After stamping the images, then were both punched out using the Scallop Oval punch and Larger Oval punch.  I really love this punch, and I will be offering it as a class with the Oval All stamp set.  More detail will come later this week!  Have a great day!

Flight of the Vellum Coral Butterlies

  Flight of the Butterflies was one of the first sets I purchased in last years Spring Summer catalogue.  I used is a lot last summer, but it has been neglected for sometime now.  Last week when I was at my friend Martha's house, she made a stunning card with this set, and inspired me to pull it off the shelf and play!

The base of my card is Cameo Coral...now if you told me 3 months ago that I would be using Coral A LOT and loving it, I would have told you, you were NUTS!!  It is layered with So Saffron and Walk in the Park DSP.  This new DSP pack will be available in the Occasions Mini starting April 1st.  The additional panel used the same card stock and DSP combination.

 For my stamping, I started by stamping the one of the outline butterflies with Versa Mark and dusted it with Heat and Stick powder.  I heated it with my Heat Gun just until it melted (or turns clear).  Next I dusted (well really dumped) Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and heat for a second time.  The last step is carefully cutting them out using my paper snips.

On Whisper White card stock, I stamped my greeting and two butterflies.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up my butterflies in the correct place.  I attached this to So Saffron and Cameo Coral card stock.  I assembled my full card before attaching the vellum butterflies using two-way glue.  The final touch is three half pearls from the Pretties Kit!  Hope  you like the card.  Have a great day.

Hoppy Easter

 This is one of the card for my Easter class today.  Now I must admit, I prefer A Good Egg over this new Easter set ( An Egg-cellent Easter).  I saw this card hereon Mary Fish's blog and I loved how she used the Candy Lane DSP.  I had some small squares left of this stripped patter, just enough for the class.

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink.  It is layered with Regal Rose and Candy Lane DSP.  I stamped my image on Very Vanilla card stock.  The bunny in coloured in using my Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel and Regal Rose SU markers.  I tied a cute bow with Pretty in Pink ribbon to complete the card.  Hope you like it.

Irish Girl

  This is my Irish little girl I made to share with you on St. Patricks Day.  I was so busy with my Artisan projects, that I forgot to post it.

For this card I used Certainly Celery, Garden Green, Flock Together DSP and the Level 1 Hostess Prints Pack.

I stamped the little girl using my All in the Family set (I think I will play with this set this weekend).  I stamped the dress a second time on DSP and cut it out.  I like that it makes her dress look patterned.  For the brads, I used some Heat and Stick powder, and green glitter.  They look really sparkly in real life.

Sorry for the supper short post, but I am actually writing this in the morning (I usually pre-post for the week on the weekend) and I have a lot of prep to do this morning at school before all of the kids arrive!  Have a great day!

KWerner Colour Challenge #47

  Well it is that time in the week again...colour challenge from Kristina Werner.  If you have not been to her blog, you must go now, click here to visit her blog.  Even thought I rarely use Tangerine Tango (and I am not super keen on the colour), I really love this weeks colour choices.  I also used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, you can see the sketch by clicking here.  If you are ever stuck for a card layout, you just have to pop over the the Mojo Monday site, and view the slide show...LOTS OF GREAT sketch's!  Here is my card, I hope you like it!

 When I first saw the colour challenge inspiration photo, I knew I was going to use the Bugs and Kisses set I borrowed from my friend Martha (another talented lady, you should visit her blog). 

My card base is So Saffron.  It is layered with Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and NEW Walk in the Park DSP.  This is a really great DSP pack and it will be available to purchase April 1st.  The additional panel is also Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Walk in the Park DSP.

 I stamped the dragonfly twice in Tangerine Tango, and once in Chocolate Chip on my Whisper White card stock.  Using my So Saffron marker, I carefully added some colour the the wings.  Next, I cut out the wings and the body, and assembled them on my card.  I wanted the wings to have some shimmer, so I used my two-way glue pen, and carefully outlined the edge of the wing, then dusted it with some Dazzling Diamond glitter.

Before I fully assembled my card, I added my Chocolate Chip ribbon.  I hope you like my card!  Have a great night!

Sale-a-bration CASE

  This card is a total CASE (copy and share everything) from the Sale-a-bration cattie.  In the card is made using Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery.  When I was looking at the cattie this past weekend, I noticed the card, and thought it would look really great using Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery.  So that is what I did!

I started with a Whisper White card base (I never use WW as my base).  The base is layered with Pretty in Pink and some DSP from the Tea Party pack.  The ribbon is Pink Pirouette.  I stamped my imaged using my Pretty in Pink ink and my markers in Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery.  Hope you like my CASE!!

Loving Fifth Avenue Floral!!

  Well it is official...I LOVE THIS SET!!! AND, I do not even own it.  I have been borrowing my friend and up-line Heather set (while she is enjoying the sun in Hawaii).  This is a set that I will be ordering on my newt order!

Over the past weekend, I was playing with this set and different colour combinations.  For this card I used Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose as my three colours.  I used some scraps of Love You Much DSP and finished the card will some of the YUMMY new cord buttons.  I really hope SU will keep them in the next cattie (I know still a while away)!

Thank-You card from Linda!

  This is a card I received from Linda.  She bought on of Clint's ribbon holders, and this is the card she gave me with the cheque.  Now this card is CRAZY GOOD!!!  I can tell she spent a lot of time and effort making this card!

She used a new stamp set called Tool Time!  I really love this set and what Linda did with this card.  Look at all of the sponging and how she made the tools look like they are held up on peg board!

Fifth Avenue Floral

 I borrowed this set from my up-line Heather and I love it.  It is now on my MUST HAVE list, and if the new mini was not coming out soon (with lots of fun new goodies), I would order it now!!!  You will see some of the cards I have made with week using this set and the same layout.  I have been playing around with the different colour combinations!

This card was made for the limited supply challenge on SCS last week.  You had to make a card using Soft Subtles and a flower.  The base of my card is Almost Amethyst.  It is layered with Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst and Tea Party DSP. 

Using Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Almost Amethyst, I randomly stamped the flowers on Whisper White card stock.  Next, using Almost Amethyst, I added the greeting in the center.  This is layered on Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst.  I embellished with some Pretty in Pink ribbon and silver brads!  Hope you like it, have a great day!
