Each week Kristina Werner posts a colour challenge. This week, when I was looking at the colours, I was inspired to make a card. To me, the colours scream Christmas! So that is just what I created, a Christmas card! I had to substitute Kraft for the Sahara Sand.
I started by grabbing my Deer Friends stamp set. This little Santa is so cute, and perfect for this challenge. I stamped him on Whisper White using Riding Hood Red ink. I then took Liquid Applique and applied it to his beard and hat. With a little heat from my heat gun, it puff's up to create a fluffy beard and hat. Next I layered the image on Riding Hood Red, and finished it with a Very Vanilla Scallop Circle. The base of the card is Kraft and it is layered with Very Vanilla and Riding Hood Red DSP (from the Designer Prints Pack). I tied a cute little bow with my Riding Hood Red ribbon to complete the look. This card took me about 10, well maybe 15 minutes to complete. I hope you like it!
Here is picture of the finished card. This layout is inspired by my friend and up-line Heather Summers. We did this layout on four different cards at my first club night at her house. I love the simplicity of the layout and I have used it on many different cards.
